Same day of hiking, more beautiful views of fall foliage just barely past its peak

Eamon, on the first (I think west) peak of Borestone Moutain

This is one of the spectacular view; there is a small Maine Audubon Society Nature Center down next to the lake; you walk up from the parking area about a mile to get to it, and then you start the real climb to the top.

Adam and Desmond during one of the few times during our hike that Desmond actually needed to be carried.

Conor, a superfast climber, before we reached the first peak, waiting for the baby and the old people, namely me and Adam, to come along

Eamon, in a moment of quiet reflection on the view at the top of the mountain
